Fed CBDC ban through 2030 becomes law without Trump signature
A U.S. housing bill that includes a provision banning the Federal Reserve from issuing a central bank digital currency through the end of 2030 will become law without President Donald Trump’s signature. Cointelegraph reported that Trump said he would neither sign the bill nor veto it, allowing it to take effect automatically after the constitutional deadline passed. The measure, titled the ROAD Act for Housing in the 21st Century, passed both chambers in June with bipartisan support.
