Everpure CEO says semiconductor component costs surge 4 to 10-fold, forcing 70 percent price rise

Storage and data management solutions company Everpure said it has raised its product prices by an average of about 70 percent this year, citing surging procurement costs for key semiconductor components. Chairman and CEO Charles Giancarlo said the cost of major high-volume semiconductor parts Everpure buys has risen 300 to 900 percent and that some chipmakers have failed to deliver promised volumes amid demand. He said further price adjustments are possible.
