Storage and data management company Pure Storage said on Monday it will change its name to Everpure.
The company said the move is meant to show it has gone beyond reshaping the storage industry and has positioned itself as a company defining the future of data management.
Everpure also said it signed a final agreement to acquire 1touch, a data intelligence and orchestration company that provides comprehensive, integrated visibility into enterprise information.
The company said the 1touch acquisition reinforces its commitment to innovation in data management. It said it will be able to keep data secure, make it easily accessible, use it intelligently and provide it in a state that is ready for immediate action.
Everpure CEO Charles Giancarlo (찰스 쟌칼로) said, "Everpure shows what kind of company we have become in the process of helping enterprises fully harness the power of data. It embodies our Enterprise Data Cloud (EDC) architecture capabilities and Evergreen flexibility, and makes even clearer the factors that have always differentiated us as we redefine important markets."
