LG Uplus and Yonsei University verify AI-RAN network switching technology
LG Uplus said on Tuesday it had verified network switching technology between an AI-RAN trial network and a 5G network with Yonsei University. The test linked LG Uplus’ 5G network with an Nvidia GPU-based AI-RAN trial network developed by Yonsei. It simulated robots and drones moving between the networks and confirmed that devices can automatically select the optimal network and maintain stable connections. The PM95 device from Point Mobile was used.
