PIPC appoints 8 new members to personal information dispute mediation committee
South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission said on Feb. 5 it appointed eight new members to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee. The new members, whose terms run from Feb. 5, 2026 to Feb. 4, 2028, include experts in areas such as artificial intelligence, data and victim relief. The committee is formed under Article 40 of the Personal Information Protection Act for rights relief for damage caused by personal data infringements.
