OTT streaming M&A surge may raise prices and cut consumer choice

A report warned that major mergers and acquisitions in the streaming industry could concentrate content and distribution in a few companies, increasing consumers\' costs and narrowing choice. Ars Technica cited cases involving Disney and Fubo, including a lawsuit that ended after a deal combining Hulu+ Live TV and Fubo, with Disney taking about 70 percent of the new company. It also noted Fubo raised monthly fees by $15 after resolving a dispute with NBCUniversal.
