Elice Group to build modular AI data center based on Nvidia B300
Elice Group plans to build a modular AI data center equipped with 2,560 Nvidia B300 graphics processing units, using a hot-water cooling method and outside-air cooling technology. The company said it was selected to participate in a government-backed program led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA to strengthen AI computing resource use. It targets a power usage effectiveness of about 1.1 and will deploy 640 GPUs in each of four buildings.

Douzone Bizon publishes sustainability management report
Douzone Bizon published a sustainability management report detailing its AI transformation (AX) strategy and environmental, social and governance performance, it said on Monday. The report follows GRI Standards 2021 and reflects some ESRS requirements. Douzone Bizon selected five key material topics, including product and technology innovation, information security and greenhouse gas cuts. It said it maintained zero information breaches and improved D Cloud Center power efficiency.

Microsoft says ChatGPT power use per query may be up to 20 times lower than estimates
Microsoft released an analysis saying the electricity used to send one question to a large language model can be far lower than widely cited figures. Assuming a 300-token response, it put the median at 0.31 watt-hours, with the middle 50 percent ranging from 0.16 to 0.60 watt-hours. It said earlier estimates may have overstated usage by 4 to 20 times by not reflecting batch processing and real-world GPU utilisation.
