K-Moonshot national project accelerates as government pushes all-citizens AI use policy
The South Korean government is moving ahead with K-Moonshot, an AI-centred national strategy project, while also promoting measures to strengthen AI use skills among the public. At a ministerial meeting on March 11, the government discussed seven items including a national AI skills plan, an all-generations AI contest, and a report on K-Moonshot progress. It confirmed 12 national missions across eight strategic technology areas and outlined steps on education, contests, and technology management.
