Orange Planet launches IPO study group to help pre-unicorns list

Smilegate Orange Planet Startup Foundation said on Jan. 22 it will run an “IPO study group” for startups valued at 100 billion won or more that are considering an initial public offering. The long-term programme is designed to guide companies from pre-diagnosis through execution and follow-up, covering issues such as internal controls, governance, listing strategy and shareholder communication. It also prepares firms for both general and tech-special listings with expert mentoring.

Smilegate Orange Planet opens regular recruitment for first half of 2026

Smilegate Orange Planet startup foundation said on Sunday it is launching regular recruitment for the first half of 2026. The program targets startups with at least 2 members and is open regardless of sector or stage, including prospective founders. It will focus on global capability and select teams with strong potential to succeed internationally. Selected startups will receive office space, up to a year of tailored support and mentoring. Smilegate Investment will review initial investments of up to 500 million won.
