Smilegate Orange Planet startup foundation said on Sunday it is launching regular recruitment for the first half of 2026.
The program targets startups made up of at least 2 people. It is open regardless of sector or stage, and prospective founders can also apply.
In this recruitment round, the key consideration is "global capability". It plans to select teams with a high likelihood of success on the global stage.
Orange Planet will provide selected startups with office space at the Orange Planet Gangnam Center and support a tailored growth program for up to 1 year. It will assign dedicated managers and provide structured support such as building business-advancement strategies and mentoring by field. It will also offer opportunities to collaborate and network with senior founders who previously came through Orange Planet.
Smilegate Investment will join as a partner and review early-stage investments for selected startups. It will provide investment opportunities linked to initial investments of up to 500 million won, mentoring to help attract follow-on funding, and the private investment-led tech startup support program (TIPS).
Applications are open until Jan. 20, and final results are expected to be announced in March.
Orange Planet Center Director Sangbong Seo said it plans to select innovative early-stage startups with strong growth potential and provide full support for global expansion through structured, professional programs. He asked for strong interest and applications from young entrepreneurs who want to grow with Orange Planet.
