Oracle AI Database@AWS launches in South Korea
Oracle and Amazon Web Services said on Tuesday they will provide Oracle AI Database@AWS to customers in South Korea. With the launch in the AWS Asia Pacific (Seoul) region, customers can run Oracle Exadata Database Service, Oracle Autonomous AI Database and Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse on dedicated Oracle Cloud Infrastructure infrastructure within AWS. The companies said the service supports moving Oracle AI database and Exadata workloads from on-premise systems to AWS with minimal changes.

Oracle updates AI database to support agentic AI for core business operations
Oracle said on Tuesday it updated agentic AI technology in Oracle AI Database. The company said the database is designed to integrate agentic AI and data across operational databases and analytics lakehouses. It said AI agents can securely access enterprise data in real time wherever it is stored and combine it with large language models trained on public data to provide insights. Customers can choose AI models, frameworks, data formats and deployment platforms.

AMD supplies large volumes of EPYC CPUs to major cloud companies
AMD has expanded its portfolio by supplying large volumes of its EPYC series CPUs to global cloud service companies, it said. AMD on Jan. 28 disclosed 2025 EPYC adoption by major cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The companies are expanding EPYC-based offerings to meet growing AI and cloud computing demand, AMD said, highlighting new fifth-generation EPYC products and performance improvements across virtual machines and HPC workloads.
