Tesla launches Tesla Home AI energy management platform, questions raised over 5-year-old technology
Tesla has launched Tesla Home, a household energy management platform that uses an AI engine called Opticaster to make hundreds of daily decisions on power storage and use to help reduce electricity bills. The service combines Tesla’s existing energy hardware and software in a consumer interface and works for existing Powerwall users without extra hardware. Updates focus on the Tesla app experience, including consolidated settings and smart breaker integration.
