Stanford says AI hits entry-level jobs first, widening youth employment gap
Stanford University research found employment declines are widening among entry-level workers in jobs with high AI exposure. In an August 2026 report, economists said employment for workers aged 22 to 25 fell more in high AI-exposure occupations than in low-exposure ones. The gap for the most exposed group reached 19 percent, up from 13 percent a year earlier. The study linked the deterioration mainly to slower hiring rather than rising layoffs.

Bitcoin at half its peak may be a buying chance, Onramp says; urges direct spot holdings
Bitcoin custody firm Onramp said a recent Bitcoin bear market could be seen as a buying opportunity for long-term investors. In a “Back to Basics” report, it noted Bitcoin trades at about half its late-2025 peak while stocks and gold remain near record highs. The report argues Bitcoin’s fixed 21 million supply and decentralized rules support its value and says investors should hold spot Bitcoin directly rather than “paper Bitcoin” such as ETF shares or exchange balances.

BIS warns of overheated $1 trillion AI investment, with bitcoin also in initial shock zone
The Bank for International Settlements warned that an AI investment boom could become a risk to broader financial markets. It said capital spending by five hyperscalers in 2025 to 2026 could exceed $1 trillion and that returns may fall short. BIS said complex funding links could transmit shocks from technology shares to credit markets and liquidity. It added bitcoin could face early selling pressure as a risk asset.
