OpenAI to acquire security cloud startup Ona to expand coding AI use
OpenAI will acquire startup Ona to bolster its AI coding tool Codex, CNBC reported. Ona provides a preconfigured secure cloud environment that lets AI agents access tools, systems and work context. OpenAI expects Codex to handle longer tasks using Ona’s technology and plans to help more organisations deploy agents that complete work on users’ behalf in real operating environments. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
