Nvidia makes first delivery of Vera CPU for AI agents, including SpaceX and OpenAI
Nvidia has supplied initial volumes of its first in-house CPU for AI agents, called Vera, to SpaceX. BeInCrypto reported Nvidia also delivered early Vera silicon directly to OpenAI, Anthropic and Oracle Cloud. The company described Vera as its first processor marking an expansion of its GPU-led AI infrastructure business into CPUs. Vera includes 88 Olympus cores and supports up to 1.2 TB/s memory bandwidth, Nvidia said.

OpenAI drops Norway \'Stargate\' data centre plan as Microsoft steps in
OpenAI has withdrawn plans to lease computing capacity directly at the 230-megawatt \'Stargate Norway\' data centre in Narvik. The facility is being built by British AI cloud startup Nscale, but OpenAI did not reach a final contract after discussing leasing about half the capacity. OpenAI is now discussing leasing local computing resources through partner Microsoft, which is set to take the previously earmarked capacity.

BlackRock pushes to launch Nasdaq 100 ETF, can it shake Invesco QQQ dominance
BlackRock has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to list an iShares Nasdaq-100 ETF, challenging a market long led by Invesco. It proposed the ticker IQQ, with an analyst estimating fees around 0.12 percent, below Invesco’s QQQ and QQQM. BlackRock’s scale, distribution and product structure could help, though Invesco’s liquidity and entrenched use in derivatives may limit switching.
