Nintendo lowers bar to buy Switch 2, drops minimum 50 hours play requirement
Nintendo has eased purchase conditions for the Nintendo Switch 2 sold on its My Nintendo Store by removing a requirement that buyers have at least 50 hours of play time on the original Switch as of a specified date. Quantity limits per Nintendo account and mandatory account login remain in place. The company also adjusted pricing, raising the Japan-only model while keeping the multilingual model unchanged. It said conditions could change again depending on sales.
