Mplus first-half net profit 15.4 billion won, up 51.9 percent
Battery equipment company Mplus reported first-half net profit of 15.4 billion won, up 51.9 percent from a year earlier. Revenue was 83.0 billion won and operating profit was 14.2 billion won, keeping an operating margin of 17.1 percent. Gross margin rose to 28.2 percent. The company issued 20.0 billion won of unsecured private bonds and plans additional 20.0 billion won via a P-CBO to fund AIMR and other new businesses.

Mplus pursues joint equipment development with U.S. solid-state battery company
Mplus is working with a U.S. global solid-state battery company to jointly develop assembly process equipment, it said on Monday. The South Korean secondary battery assembly equipment maker has been proposing tailored solutions since early this year after focusing on shared manufacturing bottlenecks faced by solid-state battery cell makers. The cooperation includes joint testing and verification of some assembly equipment at the partner’s request.

Mplus wins Supreme Court patent infringement case over electrode stacking
Mplus has won a final victory in a legal dispute over a core patent in the secondary battery assembly process. The Supreme Court\'s First Civil Division on July 16 dismissed appeals by both sides in Mplus\' lawsuit seeking an injunction against patent infringement by Seongwon Enertech, formerly Yuil Enerttech. The ruling finalised the appellate court judgment, including 11 billion won in damages.
