Signal co-founder unveils privacy-focused AI chatbot Confer
Signal co-founder Moxie Marlinspike has launched a privacy-focused AI service called Confer, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 18. Confer functions like ChatGPT or Claude but does not collect user data or use it for advertising. It encrypts messages and runs inference inside a trusted execution environment, with remote attestation to verify servers are not tampered with. A free tier limits daily messages and active chats, while a paid plan offers unlimited use.
