Enterprise software industry counters AI threat claims with bold AI agent strategy
Enterprise software companies are responding to claims that AI poses a threat by adopting more aggressive AI strategies, including new AI agent products and acquisitions. ServiceNow unveiled Autonomous Workforce and EmployeeWorks and bought Traceloop to improve agent performance. Notion launched Custom Agents, and Airtable introduced Superagent with tiered pricing. The spread of AI agents is also raising signs of possible changes to long-standing data-sharing policies, The Information reported.

ServiceNow launches \'Autonomous Workforce\' AI specialists
ServiceNow on Feb. 27 said it has launched an AI “Autonomous Workforce,” a set of AI specialists designed to carry roles, permissions and governance needed for enterprise work and to operate autonomously. The company said it deploys AI specialists with defined roles as a team to handle processes end to end. It also introduced a Level 1 service desk AI specialist and unveiled ServiceNow EmployeeWorks two months after completing its Moveworks acquisition.

ServiceNow signs 3-year contract with OpenAI to strengthen AI software stack
ServiceNow has signed a three-year agreement with OpenAI as part of efforts to strengthen its AI software stack, CNBC reported on Jan. 20. The company plans to integrate GPT-5.2 into its enterprise workflow platform and is also developing AI voice technology. ServiceNow President Amit Zavery said combining both companies’ engineering teams and technology would deliver value to customers faster. The contract’s specific amount was not disclosed.
