Mirae Asset Securities revamps MTS to MAPS as integrated investment platform

Mirae Asset Securities said on Wednesday it has revamped its mobile trading system, M-STOCK, into MAPS, shifting it to an integrated investment platform spanning AI and digital assets. MAPS is a portfolio-focused platform designed to help clients review assets, check investment direction and proceed to trades. The update reorganises the home screen around discovery and personal investments, adds an AI service summarising intraday markets every two hours, and introduces a dedicated digital-asset menu and expanded global investment information.

Elice Group chases IPO, targets global AI infrastructure market with Korean-style neo-cloud

Elice Group, a full-stack AI company, is pursuing an initial public offering to expand into the global AI infrastructure market with what it calls a Korean-style neo-cloud. It plans to convert 130 MW of secured power capacity into AI computing resources by building modular AI data centres in regions with spare electricity and boosting GPU utilisation with its own software. The company also aims to sell domestic AI computing resources to overseas customers and target a KOSDAQ listing in October.

Lee Chan-jin asks broker CEOs to step up shareholder returns and investor protection

Lee Chan-jin (이찬진), head of South Korea’s Financial Supervisory Service, urged securities firm CEOs to expand shareholder returns and social contributions in line with earnings growth and to strengthen investor protection. He said the industry could not secure its future without investor trust. Lee criticised shareholder return efforts as falling short of market expectations and cited wide gaps in dividend payout ratios among major brokers.
