KT aims for turnaround with \'AI for Everyone\'

KT, which failed to make the elite team in the government\'s domestic AI foundation model project, is seeking a turnaround through the government-led \'AI for Everyone\' initiative. The project focuses on delivering AI chatbot and public AI agent services for nationwide use, requiring stable operations and the ability to connect multiple domestic models. KT has formed a consortium that includes AI model, infrastructure and platform firms and consumer-facing service operators such as Daum, Musinsa and Zigbang.

KT in-house AI Mideum K 2.5 Pro wins AI reliability certification

KT said on Tuesday its in-house large language model Mideum K 2.5 Pro received the AI Trustworthiness Certification 2.0 (CAT) from the Telecommunications Technology Association. CAT is a private voluntary certification that evaluates governance reliability across AI adoption and operation. KT said the model is a 32 billion-parameter system designed for business-to-business use, and it posted top-tier results in AAII V3.0 and about 87 percent in Tau-Square.

Korea ministry says K-AI models spread to public, broadcasting and semiconductor sites

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Sunday that domestic artificial intelligence models are expanding into broadcast content production, public administration and domestic semiconductor infrastructure. NC AI will work with MBC to introduce multimodal AI in post-production. Upstage was selected as the first supplier of a public-sector generative AI service. KT is building a generative AI platform for Gyeonggi Province. SK Telecom and Rebellions ran a SKT model on servers using Rebellions\' AI chips.
