SpaceX replaces AI data centre head amid staff exits and outages, pushing to stabilise operations
SpaceX has put Starlink executive Michael Nichols in charge of AI data centre operations, as key staff continue to leave and some facility outages have disrupted AI model training. The company has promoted fast buildouts and lower costs, but reliance on temporary equipment and below-target uptime has drawn scrutiny.
