Meta launches \'Meta Business Agent\' to support customer service on WhatsApp, Instagram

Meta has launched an AI agent called Meta Business Agent that automates customer responses, product recommendations and booking handling on WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, CNBC reported on June 3. CEO Mark Zuckerberg said companies of any size would have agents to talk to customers and support operations. The agent is included in Meta One, a subscription service for businesses and creators, and large firms using WhatsApp Business pay usage-based fees.

Meta launches paid subscription plans globally for Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp

Meta is expanding consumer subscription plans globally for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, TechCrunch reported on Tuesday. The plans add features such as profile customisation, super reactions and story insights, and do not replace Meta Verified. Meta is also testing two Meta One plans for Meta AI users, with trials starting next month in Singapore, Guatemala and Bolivia. Creator and business plans enter testing this week.
