Reddit steps up AI and ad tech push, plans more acquisitions
Reddit is actively pursuing acquisitions of AI and ad tech companies, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 6. Chief financial officer Andrew Vollero said the company will acquire businesses that can use Reddit’s scale to expand its user base. Reddit posted fourth-quarter revenue of $726 million, including $690 million from advertising. Daily active users rose 19 percent year-on-year to 121.4 million. Reddit has recently focused on AI and ad tech deals.
