U.S. community banks launch campaign against Clarity bill over stablecoin rewards
The U.S. community banking industry has launched a public campaign against the Clarity bill, a crypto market-structure measure under discussion in the Senate. The Independent Community Bankers of America said allowing yields or rewards on stablecoin holdings could trigger $1.3 trillion in deposit outflows and cut loans by $850 billion. The Senate Banking Committee advanced the bill on May 15. Crypto industry groups rejected ICBA’s claims, while passage remains uncertain.

Bitcoin holds $60,000 but faces triple pressure from CLARITY Act, Strategy and XRP
Cryptocurrency markets sank into an “extreme fear” phase as bitcoin neared a break of the $60,000 support level. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs logged 13 straight sessions of net outflows, with cumulative withdrawals of about $4.37 billion. Passage prospects for the U.S. CLARITY Act this year fell again amid Senate scheduling hurdles. XRP holders showed limited selling despite a 66 percent drop from its peak, while Ripple pushes RLUSD and institutional ecosystem expansion.

CryptoQuant founder says bitcoin avoided fall into $20,000 range thanks to Strategy and ETFs
Ju Ki-young (주기영), head of CryptoQuant, said bitcoin could still be trading around $22,000 without buying by Strategy and spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds. He said they absorbed 1.24 million BTC sold by long-term holders over the past two years, though another user said the figure was 2.74 million BTC. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs posted 13 straight sessions of net outflows through June 3, while institutional holdings fell 17 percent from the prior quarter.
