Nexon unveils six new worlds for Hello Maple with university student creators
Nexon said on July 13 it has partnered with game development clubs at major South Korean universities to release six new worlds for its free block-coding platform Hello Maple and to launch related events. The release is part of a project to diversify content on the platform and foster next-generation creators. Six teams from Seoul National University, Korea University and Yonsei University developed hyper-casual games based on MapleStory Worlds Pro Mode.

Nexon to end Crazy Arcade service despite record results as profit-floor strategy reaches long-running games
Nexon will end service for its 25-year-old online game Crazy Arcade on Aug. 13 despite posting record results last year. The move follows a profit-floor policy and portfolio review pushed by Patrick Soderlund, head of Nexon’s Japan unit, after he took office in February. Nexon has also ended Bubble Fighter, halted Project EL and shifted Dungeon & Fighter Mobile’s China operations to Tencent. Nexon says it has no additional plans to end other classic IP services for now.

Nexon Foundation signs MSW Creator School pact with Gyeonggi education office
Nexon Foundation said on Wednesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education to boost teenagers\' coding skills and help close the digital divide. The foundation plans to run step-by-step game creation programs at middle and high schools and link its MSW Creator School project to the province\'s Gyeonggi Shared School platform. MapleStory Worlds is Nexon\'s sandbox creation platform using MapleStory resources.
