Mythos returns as agentic AI drives security operations center expansion
The U.S. government has lifted export controls on Anthropic’s top AI models, Claude Fable5 and Mythos5, raising expectations of renewed competition among companies seeking to deploy AI models in cyber security. OpenAI has also made limited releases of three GPT-5.6 models, including a top model focused on cyber security. Companies are moving to apply agentic AI to security operations centers, while firms and institutions in and outside South Korea outline new security initiatives and strategies.

Logpresso, FuriosaAI partner on sovereign AI-based agentic SOC
Logpresso said on Tuesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with AI chipmaker FuriosaAI to cooperate in the NPU-based agentic SOC field and advance AI security monitoring technology. Agentic SOC is a next-generation security operations system in which AI agents autonomously detect, analyze and respond to security threats. The companies plan to jointly develop a reference architecture combining Logpresso’s integrated security platform with FuriosaAI’s RNGD inference chip.

Mythos emerges as AI-driven mobile app attacks surge
Security firms are publishing early experiences of Anthropic’s AI model Mythos, which was first shared on a limited basis with some companies, with Cloudflare standing out. Cloudflare said Mythos is a tool on a different level from earlier general-purpose frontier models, citing attack-chain building and proof generation. Separately, Anthropic is allowing Mythos users to share cyber threat information with other companies exposed to similar vulnerabilities.
