Sony unveils 64-megapixel mobile sensor LYTIA 610 to improve smartphone zoom image quality
Sony has unveiled the 64-megapixel mobile image sensor LYTIA 610 aimed at improving smartphone telephoto camera performance. The company says the sensor boosts resolution and autofocus at the same time, addressing a traditional weak point in multi-camera systems. It is the first mass-produced sensor to use an RB2×2 on-chip lens pixel structure. Sony says spatial resolution is more than 20 percent higher than its existing sensors with the same pixel size, and it supports 4K video at 120 fps and 4K 60 fps HDR.
