Samsung Display said on Wednesday it passed UL Solutions verification for a smartphone OLED applying its panel-integrated privacy technology, Flex Magic Pixel. UL Solutions measured brightness reduction while rotating the panel 360 degrees at 45 and 60 degrees. Side luminance was 3.5 percent of the front at 45 degrees and 0.9 percent or less at 60 degrees. Samsung Display said it developed key technologies and completed the system by combining it with its LEAD OLED technology.

The company said the feature can be turned on or off at the pixel level.
