South Korea\'s science ministry begins work on 2045 science and technology frontier strategy

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT has begun drafting a long-term strategy aimed at positioning the country as a science and technology powerhouse by 2045. It launched the 2045 Science and Technology Frontier Strategy Committee and held its first plenary meeting on Wednesday. The ministry said the plan will link to the government\'s national development strategy, identify future technology demand and outline a shift in the national science and technology system, with input from industry, academia and research experts.

KAIST declares vision for AI college, steps up push to train global convergence talent

KAIST declared its vision for an artificial intelligence college and said it will accelerate talent development and research innovation. KAIST held a vision declaration event at 10 a.m. on Sunday at its Academic and Cultural Center to share its vision and 추진 direction for training key talent, advancing education and research, cooperating with industry and building a responsible AI ecosystem. KAIST to offer hands-on future tech experiences at Korea Science and Technology Festival

KAIST will take part in the 2026 Korea Science and Technology Festival in April and run interactive exhibition halls, it said on Thursday. The event will be held in two parts: in Daejeon from April 17 to 19 and in the Gyeonggi area from April 24 to 26. KAIST will exhibit at Daejeon Convention Center and KINTEX, showcasing robots, space technology, AI semiconductors and daily-life AI demonstrations.
