KISA launches 18 next-generation security projects, selects 50 companies
The Korea Internet & Security Agency said it is pushing ahead with a 2026 information security new-technology support program with the Ministry of Science and ICT. It selected 18 projects worth 12.04 billion won across four areas, including AI-based security product commercialisation, fostering AI security firms, developing a Korea-style integrated security model and introducing zero trust. KISA also selected 50 companies to carry out the projects.

Security hot issue: N2SF rollout nears as security buzz rises; countries scramble to respond to Mythos
With South Korea set to implement the National Cybersecurity Basic Guidelines in May and introduce the N2SF framework, security companies are accelerating efforts to target expected demand for related solutions. The guidelines include data controls based on classification levels, minimum security budget and staffing ratios, mandatory multi-factor authentication and new measures for AI systems and private cloud security. Interest is also rising in Anthropic’s Mythos AI model, prompting governments and companies to prepare responses.

Kudo Communication launches push into AI code security market with Black Duck\'s Signal
ICT company Kudo Communication said it will step up its AI-based security business in cooperation with AI application security firm Black Duck. The company said code generated by AI makes it hard for existing security tools to distinguish real risks from simple alerts, increasing the burden on development and security teams. The companies introduced Signal, an agentic AI application security solution that analyses code in real time and prioritises exploitable risks.
