SKT CEO Jung Jae-heon (정재헌) meets GSMA chief to seek AI growth strategy
SK Telecom CEO Jung Jae-heon met global telecom industry executives to discuss growth strategies for the AI era and ways to build digital trust. SKT said he attended the GSMA M360 ASEAN event in Kuala Lumpur on Sept. 9. Jung met GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath to discuss next-generation growth opportunities and AI transformation strategies for telecom infrastructure. He also held talks on cooperation, security and digital crime prevention.

TTA expands ASEAN network with Malaysia on AI, quantum standards cooperation
The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said it signed a memorandum of understanding on June 16 in Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia\'s standards body MTSFB to cooperate on ICT standardisation. Under the deal, the two sides will share standardisation roadmaps and jointly develop standards in areas including AI, quantum, IoT and next-generation communications. They will also coordinate responses at meetings such as ITU and APT and broaden cooperation to testing, certification and policy research.

LG Uplus reaches deal to export ixi-O AI call service to Malaysia
LG Uplus said on Tuesday it has agreed with Malaysian telecoms operator Maxis to commercially launch its AI call service ixi-O in Malaysia. It said the deal is the first case in which its strategy to expand AI services globally has led to talks on an actual business. Executives from both companies met in Kuala Lumpur to discuss local commercialisation plans. LG Uplus plans to launch the service this year, tailored to local usage.
