Bright Energy Partners says solar, BESS holdings surpass 1.3 GW
Bright Energy Partners (BEP) said on June 9 it has secured 1.3 GW of renewable energy assets, combining solar power and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The company said it exceeded 1 GW in the first half of 2026 after passing 700 MW in the third quarter of 2025, with assets more than doubling over the past two years. BEP said it is developing more than 1 GW more and is expanding BESS and power supply contracts.

NIS releases intelligent power grid cybersecurity guidelines
South Korea\'s National Intelligence Service and the National Security Research Institute on Tuesday released an intelligent power grid cybersecurity guideline prepared in cooperation with related agencies including the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, Korea Electric Power Corp and the Korea Power Exchange. The 171-page guideline presents a linkage model among components of an intelligent power grid and includes security threats and countermeasures for 11 detailed linkage types.

Bright Energy Partners secures 233 MW of BESS projects
Bright Energy Partners (BEP) has secured preferred bidder status for battery energy storage system projects totalling 162 MW in a consortium with Korea Southern Power in the Korea Power Exchange’s second 2025 central contract tender. The projects will be built in Haenam and Jindo in South Jeolla Province. Including an earlier 48 MW Jindo project and the 23 MW Jeju Andeok project, BEP’s cumulative central contract BESS awards reach 233 MW.
