Seoul bike-share Ttareungi data leak victims to receive 30-day pass compensation
Seoul Facilities Corp will provide compensation coupons to more than 4 million victims of a data leak involving Seoul’s public bike-sharing service, Ttareungi. The corporation said it will send individual text messages to affected users and provide a 30-day pass coupon for 1-hour use worth 5,000 won. The coupon will be issued through the Ttareungi app next month and must be used within three months.

LG Uplus publishes \'Information Security White Paper 2025\', unveils AI security capabilities
LG Uplus disclosed the results of its information security activities last year, including AI-based security monitoring and upgrades to its personal information protection system. The company said it published \'Information Security White Paper 2025\' on Wednesday and has released an annual white paper since 2023. It said it responded to more than 200,000 security events and cut average handling time by more than 90 percent from a year earlier, while expanding customer protection measures and strengthening governance.

Webtoon anti-piracy group hails repatriation of illegal pirated comics site operator
A coalition of seven companies including Kakao Entertainment and Naver Webtoon welcomed the repatriation to South Korea of a suspect accused of operating an illegal pirated comics distribution site. The group thanked four government agencies, including the Culture Ministry and the prosecution and police, for sustained investigative and cooperation efforts. It called the repatriation meaningful progress in holding copyright infringements accountable and urged strict punishment and measures to prevent repeat offenses.
