Kakao unveils Korean-style hybrid AI, says it can think and double-check
Kakao on Jan. 5 unveiled the performance of its new in-house AI model, Kanana-v-4b-hybrid. Built on the open-source Kanana-1.5-v-3b, it is designed to handle casual conversation and tasks requiring logical reasoning. Kakao said the model uses a four-stage training process and a self-checking method to reduce hallucinations. It scored 92.8 on KoNET, and Kakao said it outperformed similarly sized global models in several areas.
