FBI unveils simulation city to train for cyber attacks and investigations
The FBI has built a 22,000-square-foot mock city at its Huntsville, Alabama campus to simulate cyber attacks and train investigators, TechCrunch reported. Opened in February 2025, the Kinetic Cyber Range includes homes, a hotel, gas station, grocery store, courthouse, hospital and a power company, along with roads and traffic lights. More than 1,400 people have trained there. It also offers digital forensics training that TechCrunch said is controversial.
