LCK race tightens as Hanwha Life Esports and Gen.G battle to catch leaders T1

Hanwha Life Esports and Gen.G open the week in a matchup expected to be fierce as both try to stop three straight losses. KT runs sports pop-up exhibition in Gwanghwamun with AI experience programs
KT will run a pop-up exhibition at its KT Gwanghwamun Building West venue, KT Onmaru, where visitors can experience the history of KT sports teams and fan cheering culture. The exhibition includes items and hands-on programs covering KT Wiz, KT Sonicboom and KT Rolster. Visitors can leave support messages shown on a large LED wall. The venue also offers AI-based experiences such as robot caricatures and assisted photos, and will hold on-site events with prize draws.

LCK leaves YouTube, SOOP and Chzzk set for lock-in battle
South Korea’s e-sports streaming market is heading into a new rivalry ahead of the Jan. 14 opening of the 2026 LCK Cup, after YouTube drops out of LCK broadcasts. Riot Games Korea signed exclusive five-year deals through 2030 with Naver’s Chzzk and SOOP, making them the only platforms for Korean-language live streams. Both are rolling out opposing strategies to maximise lock-in through linked content, replay features, AI tools, global league coverage and offline branding.
