KT said on Aug. 3 it will run a pop-up exhibition at KT Onmaru in the KT Gwanghwamun Building West in Seoul's Jongno district where visitors can experience the history of KT sports and fan cheering culture.

The exhibition consists of items and hands-on programs that look back on the history and key moments of KT sports teams, including the KT Wiz professional baseball club, the KT Sonicboom professional basketball club and the KT Rolster e-sports team.

Visitors can leave messages of support for KT sports teams and athletes at the venue. The messages are broadcast in real time on a large LED wall.

KT has set up a player photo zone and a heritage gallery featuring major team histories and championship moments. It is also showing various content, including official uniforms and cheering goods, cheering videos restored using AI and e-sports items from KT Rolster players.

KT will run various experiential programs incorporating AI technology. Under "AX Robot Drawing", a robot draws a caricature after taking a visitor's photo. Under "AX Photo Assist", AI features help take KT sports cheering verification photos. Under the "Sports Custom DIY" program, visitors can make a patch keyring supporting a KT sports team and create cheering goods.

KT will also hold on-site events. Visitors who take part in related quizzes or post reviews on their personal social media accounts will be offered a chance to enter an instant prize draw. Prizes are to include KT sports goods and various souvenirs such as eco-friendly tote bags, wooden frames and DIY keyrings.

KT Onmaru is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is free to visit from Monday to Saturday.

Dong-hoon Kim (김동훈), managing director at KT's public relations office, said the KT Sports pop-up exhibition was planned to let customers directly experience KT sports history and cheering culture by combining sports and AI technology. He said the company will continue to expand customer touchpoints through various experiential content.
