Week 2 matches in Round 3 of the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season have begun. This week is expected to be more tense, with matches set between top teams that are directly competing in the standings.

Riot Games said Week 2 of Round 3 in the LCK 2026 regular season will be held from Aug. 5 to 9 at Chijijik LoL Park in Jongno district, Seoul. In Week 2, Hanwha Life Esports will face Gen.G and T1 in succession, while current leaders T1 meet in-form Dplus KIA and Hanwha Life Esports.

With the standings split by a narrow points gap, the opening match of the week is Hanwha Life Esports against Gen.G. Coincidentally, the two teams are expected to produce a fierce match as they try to stop three straight losses.

Hanwha Life finished first in both Rounds 1 and 2 of the regular season, but dropped to second after losing twice in Week 1 of Round 3 to Dplus KIA and KT Rolster. Gen.G also fell into a two-match losing slump in Week 1 of Round 3 after twice suffering 0-2 losses against T1 and Dplus KIA. Gen.G, nicknamed the Tigers of the LCK, is in a situation where it ended the start of Round 3 in third place.

Neither team can afford to keep losing. Both are aiming for a win as they look to challenge T1's current hold on first place.

T1 is also expected to face a difficult week. It will meet Dplus KIA and Hanwha Life Esports back-to-back. The weekend match against Hanwha Life is expected to determine the top of the Round 3 standings, making the Aug. 8 match one to watch.

Starting with the Hanwha Life Esports-Gen.G match on Aug. 5, Dplus KIA play T1 on Aug. 6, KT Rolster face Gen.G on Aug. 7, and T1 meet Hanwha Life Esports on Aug. 8. The die has been cast. Competition for first place in the Legend Group is expected to intensify further.
