ITCEN Global steps up buildout of tokenised gold KGLD ecosystem
ITCEN Global is accelerating efforts to build an ecosystem for KGLD, a token based on physical gold. The company aims to go beyond issuing digital tokens by linking custody, liquidity, monetisation and everyday payments into a single financial ecosystem. It has disclosed plans to issue KGLD backed by 50 tonnes of physical gold and announced a concept for a RWA-based gold-standard account called the Gold Standard Wallet.

ITCEN Global posts first-half revenue of 5.58 trillion won, operating profit 107.5 billion won
ITCEN Global said on Aug. 13 its consolidated first-half revenue totalled 5.58 trillion won, up about 92 percent from a year earlier. The company said growth was supported by balanced gains in its Web3 and IT services businesses, including units such as Korea Gold Exchange, ITCEN CTS and ITCEN ENTECH. Operating profit rose 94 percent to 107.5 billion won and net profit increased 153 percent to 109.8 billion won.

ITCEN Global steps up Web3 commercialisation from tokenised gold to stablecoins
ITCEN Global said on Wednesday its blockchain-based Web3 businesses being pursued with key affiliates, including Korea Gold Exchange and Korea Gold Exchange Digital Asset, have entered a practical commercialisation stage. The company is pursuing a project to issue 50 tonnes of physical gold as on-chain assets within five years and build a 10 trillion won ecosystem. It is expanding its KGLD gold RWA token and moving into security tokens and stablecoins through partnerships.
