BlackRock urges changes to GENIUS Act implementing rules amid differences with OCC

BlackRock has urged the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to withdraw a provision that would cap tokenised assets at 20 percent of stablecoin reserve assets, saying the limit is unnecessary. It said reserve-asset risk should be judged by liquidity, maturity and credit quality, not whether assets are tokenised. BlackRock also asked for clarity on what qualifies as eligible reserves, including whether Treasury ETFs qualify, and proposed adjustments to diversification options in the draft rules.

Ripple\'s XRP officially launches on Solana

Ripple\'s XRP has launched on Solana as an official cross-chain asset, appearing on the network in wrapped form, Cryptopolitan reported. Solana announced the official inclusion of XRP on X. The new XRP was released in cooperation with Ripple and Hex Trust and is similar in structure to WBNB and wrapped ether. It can trade across Solana venues including Phantom wallet, Jupiter DEX and Meteora.

Fintech company SoFi has launched Big Business Banking, a corporate banking platform that handles fiat-currency and crypto operations within a single regulatory system. Businesses can hold deposits, transfer funds and run 24-hour trade settlement in traditional currencies and digital assets. The platform runs through SoFi Bank and offers regulated banking services alongside blockchain-based payment and settlement rails, including SoFiUSD, selected cryptocurrencies and tools to convert between fiat and digital assets.
