Spotify cuts Claude Code token use by 90 percent

Spotify developed a way to sharply reduce Claude Code token usage, Techzine reported on Saturday. The approach shifts repetitive tasks such as file reading and predictable code generation to cheaper AI models via its developer platform portal. In tests, Claude token consumption fell by an average of 90 percent, the report said. The system uses agents running in a temporary runtime and lets developers set models and tools by mode.

Minecraft revises system requirements for first time in 17 years, recommended memory raised to 16GB

Mojang Studios, a Microsoft unit, has sharply raised the minimum and recommended system requirements for Minecraft: Java Edition for the first time in 17 years. Recommended memory increases to 16GB from 4GB, while graphics requirements move from OpenGL to hardware supporting Vulkan 1.3. Minimum specs target 1080p at 30 FPS, and recommended specs target 1080p at 60 FPS. Mojang said older PCs may still run the game for now but without guarantees.

TmaxSoft launches ProObject 22 application framework

TmaxSoft on July 27 launched ProObject 22, a Java-based business application development framework designed on a cloud-native architecture. The company said the framework is optimised for cloud environments, compatible with various open-source solutions and can be linked with existing corporate systems to support flexibility and scalability. TmaxSoft plans to add AI functions this year, including an AI Code Assistant for code generation, analysis and a document chatbot.
