BTC short liquidation brings another loss, balance plunges from 30 billion won to 1.35 million won
Trader James Wynn (제임스 윈) was liquidated after taking a bitcoin short position on decentralised exchange Hyperliquid, leaving his account balance at about $900, or roughly 1.35 million won. On-chain data showed losses of $20 million, and Arkham Intelligence said he once held $100 million. Lookonchain said he was liquidated six times in the past two weeks. Bitcoin rose about 3 percent in 24 hours, amid a derivatives-driven short squeeze.

Machi Big Brother trader Jeffrey Huang loses $75 million in six months after leverage bets
Taiwanese American entrepreneur Jeffrey Huang, known as Machi Big Brother, drew attention in crypto markets after once posting a $44.8 million profit on Hyperliquid, a decentralised perpetual swaps exchange. He later suffered 335 liquidations and lost $75 million over six months, leaving about $30,000 in his account. Tracking data showed he then deposited another $500,000 and bought $11.5 million of ether. The case has renewed warnings about risks from high-leverage trading.

XRP \'either 0 or 25 dollars\' extreme forecast fuels debate
Debate is spreading among cryptocurrency investors after an executive at digital asset investment firm K9Strategy said XRP has become his third-largest crypto holding. Clemente said XRP could rise to $25 if retail demand keeps increasing, or fall to $0 if it fails to prove real value long term. He said he would revisit the view in about 12 months and also invests in memecoin SPX6900. Some investors disputed the $25 scenario as overly optimistic.
