Injective applies to register as transfer agent with SEC to put securities ownership records on chain
Injective has applied to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to register as a transfer agent, Cointelegraph reported on July 16. The move aims to create a regulatory path for placing securities ownership records on a blockchain. Transfer agents manage shareholder registers and track changes in securities ownership. Injective said putting this function on chain could support issuance and management of tokenised securities and assets, and reduce delays and reconciliation between intermediaries.

VanEck launches first U.S. spot BNB ETF VBNB
Asset manager VanEck has launched the first U.S. spot exchange-traded fund linked to Binance Coin (BNB). The ETF, ticker VBNB, allows U.S. investors to gain exposure to BNB through traditional brokerage accounts in an exchange-traded product structure. VanEck said the physically backed fund holds BNB kept in cold storage by a qualified custodian and is designed to track the spot price, with potential staking subject to regulatory and legal requirements.
