Cardano optimism holds despite correction, focus on ETF and DeFi expansion
Cardano investors are maintaining optimism despite a recent pullback in ADA, focusing on catalysts such as potential spot ETF eligibility, DeFi growth, scalability upgrades and stronger links to Bitcoin DeFi. The community is also backing interoperability initiatives and DeFi funding, while founder Charles Hoskinson highlighted potential TVL growth.

Cardano has launched its first live on-chain inter-blockchain communication (IBC) connection with layer-1 blockchain Injective on a testnet, enabling users to send ADA to Injective and move INJ back to Cardano. The Cardano Foundation and Injective called it the start of a new era of interoperability but said it remains experimental. The setup supports only Cardano Preprod and the Injective testnet using valueless test tokens.

Injective applies to register as transfer agent with SEC to put securities ownership records on chain
Injective has applied to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to register as a transfer agent, Cointelegraph reported on July 16. The move aims to create a regulatory path for placing securities ownership records on a blockchain. Transfer agents manage shareholder registers and track changes in securities ownership. Injective said putting this function on chain could support issuance and management of tokenised securities and assets, and reduce delays and reconciliation between intermediaries.
