Nexon holding company NXC cancels all treasury shares bought from government
Nexon Group holding company NXC has cancelled all treasury shares it recently bought from the government. The company said on Tuesday its board approved the cancellation of 184,001 common shares, equal to 6.68 percent of 2,754,093 shares outstanding before the capital reduction. The move follows NXC’s May 4 purchase of some government-held in-kind tax payment shares for about 1.02 trillion won.

Nexon holding company NXC buys back 1 trillion won of shares paid in kind to government, to cancel them next month
Nexon Group holding company NXC has bought back part of its own shares that the family of late founder Kim Jung-ju paid in kind as inheritance tax. NXC agreed to acquire 184,001 shares from the Ministry of Economy and Finance at 5,558,000 won per share, in a deal worth about 1.02 trillion won, and plans to cancel them next month. The government’s stake falls, while the sale brings in more than 1 trillion won in non-tax revenue.
