Hanwha Solutions enters global power market with eco-friendly cable material
Hanwha Solutions\' Wire & Cable unit said it will begin commercialising CHBA-8241RC, a high-density polyethylene-based power cable jacket material made with 50 percent post-consumer recycled plastic. The company said the material emits about 34 percent less carbon per kilogram than existing products while maintaining equivalent electrical characteristics. It completed manufacturers\' production tests and quality verification in the first half of this year and said it has obtained GRS and ISCC PLUS certifications for recycled polyethylene.
