Ethereum rebounds more than 55% from June low, can it extend strength into third quarter
Ethereum has rebounded more than 55% from its June low and is maintaining a strong third-quarter trend, trading around $2,492 after falling to about $1,600. Its daily chart structure has improved as it moved above key moving averages, helped by a volume increase during an August breakout. Momentum has cooled, with the RSI easing to the mid-50s. Resistance is seen at $2,550 to $2,650, while $2,350 to $2,400 is highlighted as key support.

ECB warns stablecoin spread could undermine European bank deposit base
The European Central Bank has warned that the spread of stablecoins could eat into European banks’ retail deposits and has put forward a digital euro as a response. Executive Board member Piero Cipollone said banks that have already lost fees and transaction data to mobile payments could see their deposit base shaken. The ECB said falling deposits could weaken lending capacity and is moving ahead with a digital euro pilot planned for 2027.
