Korea Post says users can find unclaimed national tax refunds on post office banking app
Korea Post said users will be able to check unclaimed national tax refunds through its post office mobile banking app. The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Postal Service said it will provide the service via Itda Banking from April 28. The “Find National Tax Refunds” function lets users view refunds that have been approved but not claimed, and check the status of unclaimed refunds from the past five years. It also links to the mobile web version of the National Tax Service’s Hometax for payouts.

Toss Income launches preview of this year\'s tax refund ahead of annual income tax filing
Toss Income, a tax filing and refund support unit of Viva Republica, launched a service that lets users check an estimated refund ahead of the May comprehensive income tax filing season. Available to office workers and multi-job workers with earned income last year, the service runs in the Toss app through April 30. After HomeTax authentication, it calculates expected refunds based on actual income and filing history. Users can also check missed refunds from 2020 to 2024.

Fynoverse Lab launches Semoa tax refund service for sole proprietors
B2B fintech firm Fynoverse Lab on Jan. 12 launched Semoa, a tax refund service for sole proprietors. The company said the service analyses applicants using AI-based screening automation and provides one-stop support, including filing and correction claims, through a partnered tax firm. It has prepared operations with Uhyun Tax Accounting Firm, citing experience handling more than 50 billion won in cumulative refunds. The company plans to expand to corporate clients and related tax services.
