Eating alone may raise blood sugar, study finds
A study found that blood sugar responses can differ depending on whether a person eats alone or with someone close, even when consuming the same food. In tests tracking 108 participants after eating 108 grams of white bread, those who ate with a close partner showed smaller blood sugar spikes and faster returns to baseline than those who ate alone. The team also observed reduced drops in body temperature and better stress-related responses when participants were with someone close.
