MSI beta BIOS enables high-speed DDR5 with China\'s CXMT chips on mainstream PCs

MSI has released a beta BIOS supporting ultra-high-speed operation of DDR5 memory using chips from China’s ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT). The test showed CXMT-based DDR5 running at DDR5-8200 in a dual-DIMM setup and DDR5-7200 with four DIMMs, though a global BIOS version has not been released. Free PC monitoring app used in NASA radiation tests: HWiNFO

PC hardware monitoring program HWiNFO was used in a U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration semiconductor radiation experiment, according to its website and NASA documents. The tool tracked CPU and GPU status during tests of an AMD A4-3300 processor made at GlobalFoundries in Germany. NASA data showed differing temperature readings between an infrared camera and internal sensors recorded by HWiNFO, raising the possibility of sensor distortion under radiation.
